REGIONE PIEMONTE (Piedmont Region)

Piemonte (meaning “at the feet of the mounts”) is a fine Italian region, with the high Po plain in the centre and the Alps all around. From Mount Gran Paradiso (4060 m) to the lowland rice fields, from the city of Torino to the residences of the Royal House of Savoia (UNESCO sites), from the Po river to the several alpine and moraine lakes, it offers different landscapes, natural and cultural sites.
