3rd International Simuliidae Symposium

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is our great pleasure and honour to announce the 3rd International Simuliidae Symposium, including the 29th meeting of the British Simuliid Group, the 7th European Simuliidae Symposium and the EMCA Black fly working group. This Symposium continues the tradition of providing a forum for scientists from different countries who are involved in black fly studies. The first International Simuliidae Symposium was held in Berlin in 2004, and the second was organised on the banks of the Danube River in Novi Sad, Serbia in 2006.
The 3rd International Simuliidae Symposium will be held in Vilnius (Lithuania) from the 9th to 12th of September 2008. The purpose of the Symposium is to gather together scientists from all around the world to exchange their experiences and ideas.
We would like to invite you to participate and thereby to make your contribution to the success of the Symposium. We invite all members of the existing European groups of simulidologists, members of the North American Black Fly Association and other scientists interested in black flies. We would also appreciate it if you could pass this Announcement on to anyone who might be interested in participating in the meeting.
